Sat, Nov 04, 1989 01:45:24 PM Notes to kermit users: I had lots of fun trying to get the file up and back down to my C-64. The following should help to avoid such "fun". - Make sure the un*x based kermit is set for file type binary. - Make sure your C-64 kermit is set for file-type binary. This will automatically set the file type to "P" (program). This is good. - Make sure your C-64 kermit is set for file-byte-size eight. If you download the file then list it and get: 13 (2063) with a color change to green, this is most likely caused by having file-byte-size set to seven. The kermit I'm using on my C-64 is designated Kermit-65. If you're using a different one, the names of the parameters may be different. As a general rule of thumb make sure the kermits on both end are sending binary data with eight bit bytes. That should do it. Good luck - I finally got it to work, hope you can too. -jk
